Hi,

 

Iwantto connect a mongodb instance to Spotfire. Its prerequisite is that I need to create a system DSN using a TIBCO Driver for MongoDB.

There is a particular database that fails to create a DSN and fails with the error:

[TIBCO][MongoDBODBC] (29) Child field name should not be empty, parent is "", screenshot attached for reference.

 

Now if I try to create a DSN for some other database, it works.

 

So I'm assuming, the problem is not with the ODBC driver. The problem SEEMS to be in the database and the relationship between collections. What is that problem, I'm still tring to find out but in vain. I'd be glad if anyone can shed some light on it

Could the error be because of something else like user access

You can try using Mysql connector on spotfire and post the question in mongodb community to get more response as the issue seems to be in database and it would fail with any odbc jdbc drivers.
