Joseph Huang Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Calculated columns seem to inherit all properties of one of the columns used as input for the calculation. See snapshot (Die_ID_temp is a calculated string, but has the properties of Lot_ID with is a SingleReal/number) This may lead to confusion and non-working R-scripts for example (if I subset assuming doubles and raw would give me all parameters with numbers, I also get the marked string in my subset, for example). Especially information like test.datatype could be correct, since the format of the calculation is known. Would you consider this improvement, pls Thanks!
Fredrik Rosell Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Hello, For enhancement requests related to Exensio Yield, I would suggest that you first reach out to PDF Solutions (https://www.pdf.com/Exensio-Yield)) who have created that analysis product. Your request does seem to be generally applicable to the standard TIBCO Spotfire Analyst as well though, and for that, you can report your ideas in the TIBCO Ideas Portal: https://ideas.tibco.com/. That site is managed by the TIBCO Product Managers, who decide what goes into future versions of the product, and reporting your idea there is the best way to get their attention. I did a quick search and found an existing idea - https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas/TS-I-6959 ("Calculated columns takes properties of the first inserted(mentioned) column in expression") which does sound related to your request (and in fact, has been reported by the creators of Exensio Yield). Please consider voting for that one. Best Regards Fredrik
