Heatmap/Contouring Issues - TIBCO Provided Data function

I using the heatmap to contour oil and gas geology parameters (porosity,Sw,etc). The function works pretty good except when I spot check the values assigned to the wells vs the contour line which they are near(or which side the well is on), there are descrepencies.

For example, the contour lines may draw every 2 increments. A well may have an arbitrary value of 12 but some of the wells with this value will be found between the 14-16 intervalor even intervals much higher & lower. Basically, well values do not always match the contour they are in.

Has anyone run across this error Is there a solution to 'tighten' up the contouring function to make it more accurate I have tried lowering the smoothing function to 0.01 and that did not solve the issue.
