How to dynamically set a check box filter with rolling 12 months

I am new to spotfire. I have a report that I am now supporting and it has a check box date filter. The current process as it stands, is once a month, somebody will open the report, select the newest month we just ended and deselect the oldest month. Is there a way programmatically to have that change on it's own
