Connecting to Internet from TIBCO Cloud Spotfire Webplayer TERR

Hi -

I'm attemping to query an API using an R data function in Spotfire Webplayer on TIBCO Cloud. When I run the data function on the Spotfire Analyst thick-client, I am able to run the data function without issue.

However, if I deploy the DXP to the Webplayer then I receive the following error:

TIBCO Enterprise Runtime for R returned an error

 

The data function 'FetchApiData' could not be executed.

 

Error in .Call() : Failed to connect to 2606:4700:30::6812:32ca: Network is unreachable

Are there limitations when using the TIBCO Cloud Webplayer in accessing internet servers using TERR Or is there a configuration problem with IPv6 Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Richard,

Yes, there are limitations. Internet access from TERR is intentionally turned off in TIBCO Cloud Spotfire web client due to security reasons.
