I want to use nested groups for SPotfire, I want to allow business add nested groups to existing spotfire AD groups. It will be perfectly if spotfire see all AD groups but in my company it is not possible - too many groups we have in AD. I try to extend group search filtering pattern but in this case synchronization takes a lot of time between SP and AD. Other solution I see is to setup openldap and daily import AD groups/users to my local ldap to avoid large synchronization with remote DC.

 

there is other way to resolve the issue there is point to setup openldap to reach the goal

Hello Robert,

You may try syncing the users less frequently for example daily once in non peek hours to give a sufficient amount of time for LDAP sync.
