Copy/Paste text from a Text area to another Text area.

I am new to the Python scripting in spotfire.

I have a visualization which is generating a text in a text area by using "calculated value"dynamic function in Text area. This list is from Data set A.

Now I want to use that generated list (Copy/Paste) into a "Multiline Text Box" of a different visualization. And the 2nd visual is using Data set B, but it has one column same as Data set A.

How I can automate this Copy/paste process in between two text area. I think it is doable with python, but I don't have that much knowledge of Python.

Can somebody provide me a direction here.

Instead of Copy/Paste use a Document.Properties["YourVariable"] to pass value to another Data Set.

Alternately you can use javascript to copy Selected values

e.g. document.getElementById('Your_SpotFire_Control_Id').value=windlow.getSelected().toString();
