Tyler Kendle 2
Hi everyone, I am hoping to do a Sentiment Analysis as well. I came across this posts from a few years ago and was able to install the CRAN package RSentiment. However, I was hoping to chat with someone about how they actually went about using the CRAN package. I am still a little new and any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Ty Reference - https://community.spotfire.com/questions/want-perform-sentimental-analysis-using-tibco-spotfire
Colin Gray 3
Hi, I just ran a Dr.Spotfire session on doing this very thing through Spotfire. However, it was using the Python Data Function to call the text analytics services in AWS and Azure. I aim to publish a wiki and blog article containing the code shortly. The session is here in case it is useful: https://lnkd.in/drhSKQN I realise this isn't using R but it offers a different route. Other alternatives would be to use Python and Tensorflow or Keras for example and call these from Spotfire. Thanks Colin
Tyler Kendle 2
Hey Colin, I did see your Dr. Spotfire session and really enjoyed it. I was really hoping to use R but perhaps I will rewatch it and see if I can replicate it using Python. I look forward to your article containing the code. Thank you, Ty
Colin Gray 3
Hi Ty, Glad you liked it - you should be able to do something similar in R but I don't have actual code examples. Here is the wiki and blog: Wiki article here: https://community.spotfire.com/wiki/text-analytics-sentiment-analysis-key-phrases-and-translations-tibco-spotfire-using-aws-and and supporting blog: https://community.spotfire.com/feed-items/text-analytics-sentiment-translations-and-beyond-using-aws-and-azure-though-tibco Thanks Colin
