SQL query

Hello,

I would like to import my data from OSIpi but I can't use the package OSIsoft created by the communauty. So I would connect my OSIpi server to Spotfire by ODBC or OLE DB. It's work fine I can import my data. But my ask is if my OSIpi server contains over 1 billions of data and arround 5000 tags, when I create my request to import data (with SQL query), the OSIpi server can crash or become unavailable because the request is big My second ask is how to work SQL query If the server can crash, can I import data X lines per X lines If the data take many hours to be import is not a problem but the OSIpi server must not be crash!
