Kenneth Gordineer
I am trying to group categories, but not by using marking. I am woking with flavor systems where I am comparing flavor levels between samples. We are interested in the individual components as well as the grouping of the components by character. The example data shows compounds as well as the groups we have assigned them. Typically, we have to spend a lot of time in Excel organizing the data after it gets exported from Agilent Mass Hunter software before we can bring it into Spotfire. Just wondering if we could stream line the process.
Kirsten Smith (she/her)
Click on Help/Help Topics and look under the Index tab for: "Tags, what are they" Tagging allows you to group your data for further analysis.
Kenneth Gordineer
I don't believe Tags or Lists work with this type of data set. They only get applied to rows, yet the components are in columns. I don't see a way to create tags or list for the table as it exists
Kirsten Smith (she/her)
Spotfire works best on data row-by-row, so you might consider unpivoting the data to see if that makes it simpler to group.
