Python Data Function with Multiple Python Versions

I have multiple python versions installed on my machine locally (python 2.7.* and python 3.7.*). I also have Python Data Function installed on my spotfire server, however, I can only create python 2.7.* functions in spotfire and not python 3 functions. I think this stems from the fact that my python.exe is associate with python 2.7, while python3.exe is associated withpython 3.7. I'm able to switch seamlessly with an IPython Kernel, but this seems to be an issue with spotfire as spotfire does not even recognize the installed python 3, even though it is in the PATH. Is there a known solution for this issue
