John Wahrenberger
I simply want to relate and join 2 tables together based on 2 columns that i had to create (in spotfire) in each table. The only way I can get it to do what i want is by transforming a non-needed column and using that instead of the calculated column. Am i missing something
Nitesh Raj
Hi, I have also faced the same issue, and what I understand that only transformation column can be used for join purpose. 1) could be because by any chance if someone edits the formula, your whole data will go for toss, and If you have transformation column it cannot be edited simply, you to do reload of data table. May be a safety measure.
Matthew Stahl
I think you can 'freeze' the calculated columns, then join. Your data tables will become embedded in the document.
