How much effort if creating a C# custom data function in Spotfire

Hi, we have an algorithm built by C#.NET, and wanna embed into Spotfire platform as a custom data function. Is there anyone has this kind of experience Is the case suitable to use Spotfire SDK to package the function call plugin to Spotfire Or to use IronPython to call out the DLL outside the Spotfire platform Which one is the best way

How much effort (days) would cost if the developer is not quite familiar with Spotfire SDK
