Josh Schweigert Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Hello, I am attempting to connect Spotfire to my HDInsight cluster and am getting what appears to be a timeout error "External error: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][Hardy] (34) Error from server: connect() failed: errno = 10060. ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][Hardy] (34) Error from server: connect() failed: errno = 10060." The cluster uses a hive database through shared storage which Spotfire is supposed to pickup automatically. I know this works because I have seen a successful connection from another person. I have installed all drivers and have tried the Hortonworks connection type. Harshith Reddy Musku Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Hello, From the error, 'connect() failed: errno = 10060' the issue seems to be that the machine on which spotfire analyst is running could not reach server or find the hive server running on the port. Did you mention port in the server url Can you telnet to that port from your local machine Also check connectivity by creating DSN for that driver.
