For what column data types is the "getDistinctValues" JavaScript API call supported

When I use the DataColumn.getDistinctValues() call in the JavaScript API on a DataColumn of type LongInteger, I get an ErrorInternal with this message: "Not supported for data column of type LongInteger."

What data types are supported by this call
