mbrauer Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I have a server instance from the AWS Marketplace (Hourly Spotfire) and would like to move it to a larger instance type. The instructions for exporting library content and importing to a new server do not seem to apply to this kind of installation (there is no "export" button available, for instance). How do people manage moving between servers, if they do? Thanks, Matt
Solution Alain Martens Posted November 21 Solution Posted November 21 Hi Matt, You can simply change the AWS instance type that you’re currently using. In other words there’s no need to export your library and setup a new AMI on where to import. If you shut down your AMI you can change the AWS instance type from the AWS console. Instructions can be found here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-instance-resize.html. Not that the default recommended size is listed here at the usage cost section: https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-sgndblhedc4ie Hope this helps. Thanks, Alain 1 1
Alain Martens Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Great to hear Matt! Best of luck with Spotfire! 💪
