MHL Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Hello everyone, I'm trying to get a Snowflake stored procedure running in Spotfire. The instructions online tell me to create an Information Link with the stored procedure as an element, but I can't find any stored procedure that I created in Snowflake in the accoring Datasource. There are only the Tables and Views in the element tree for me to select, even after several refreshes. The Snowflake role that is used for the Datasource has access to the stored procedure and I can see and use it inside of Snowflake using this role. I created all kinds of stored procedures (returning tables, performing sql operations, written in sql, written in Javascrip, written in Python) to see if any would be visible in Spotfire, but none are. Do any of you know why I can't see it, and therefore also not use in an Information Link? Any help/ideas are highly appreciated. Cheers
Kirsten Smith (she/her) Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Spotfire does not currently support stored procedures in Snowflake. MHL Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 Hello Kirsten, thank you for your quick reply! Is there also a feature request to support Snowflake stored procedures in general or at least with a tabular return? Because this request focuses on returing scalar values, but also Snowflake stored procedures that return tables seem to be unsupported, even though apparently it's supported for other database technologies (according to the description in the feature request). If not I can also add that as a comment of the ticket, but it seems to have a somewhat different focus than what I'm aiming for. Best regards
Kirsten Smith (she/her) Posted November 14 Posted November 14 If you feel your request is different than the one I linked to, you are free to file a new ticket in the Ideas Portal, our Product Management team will look it over and decide if it should be tracked separately or if it should be merged with the existing idea.
