Mark123
Hello, every one Now,I need to export all items in the library regularly for backup. I tried to create a series of tasks through the automated job tool in the TIBCO Spotfire Analyst client to export all the contents of the Spotfire library (all folders in the root directory). After successful creation, I saved these tasks to the library and set automatic refresh rules. However, upon observation, it was found that there may be missing folders during the automatic execution of these tasks, and not every folder will be exported. And every time the task refreshes, the missing folder names and quantities are random. I'm confused about this issue, and welcome any suggestion. David Boot-Olazabal
Hi Mark, Sorry for the late response. Can you tell us how your automation job looks like? Kind regards, David
Niko Maresco
another way of performing automated Library backups is to use your database vendor's tools to back up the entire Spotfire application database. of course it depends on your specific use case, and the suggestion doesn't solve the original issue, but it may be considered as an alternative. Mark123
Sorry to reply this case so late. The reason of this problem is the configuraration of the spotfire cluster. The backup folder will be randomly exported to any spotfire server in the cluster.
David Boot-Olazabal
Hi Mark, Ah, that makes sense then. But, if you backup the entire content of the root folder, using one automation services job, you shouldn't miss anything. Or do you have a series of automation jobs that perform the backup(s)? As an alternative, you could also create a couple of jobs on the server itself, using the command line interface (CLI). You should be able to run these CLI-commands in a scheduled way (using windows server scheduled tasks for instance). Also, you may be able to use a shared network drive for your backup file. In the CLI command, that's the -p parameter (I don't know the equivalent of this command in your automation services job, since I'm not sure how you constructed that): https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire_server/latest/doc/html/TIB_sfire_server_tsas_admin_help/server/topics/export-library-content.html Kind regards, David
