Hello everyone,

I followed the following link for  configuring access to local and shared network directories for the TIBCO Spotfire Web Player.

How to configure access to local and shared network directories for the TIBCO Spotfire Web Player

And I used the Option B(Add the AllowAllFilePaths to allow all paths by default)

The configuration was successfully imported and the Web Player service restarted  successful after changing service configuration.

However, when opening the data source on the web page, the template containing the data in the shared file still prompted that "Missing data:Some parts of the data table cannot be loaded, the data source may have         been lost or changed"

Is there anything I did wrong?

Hello Mark,

Did you use a specific service account to start the Spotfire server and Spotfire nodes services? If that is the case, in order for this to work, you would also need to provide read (and perhaps write) privileges to that service account on the shared network drives.

If that still doesn't work, you may also try to install an analyst on the node server and see if you can reproduce the error. The analyst provides for better error message than the web client does. But if that would not be possible, you can go through the log files, to see what the actual cause of the issue is.

Kind regards,

David
