Diana Banas
I have a report scheduled to run daily. It runs and gets loaded in one of the 4 web player nodes. However when I open the report it loads as if its not scheduled on a different node.
Fredrik Rosell
Hello Diana,It would be much easier to investigate this with access to your log files, e.g. to see if there issues with the scheduling/conflicting routing rules etc, so I recommend that you open a case in the Support Portal - https://support.tibco.com/ - and our Support team will assist you. If you enable server debug logging, reproduce the issue(note the time and analysis file), capture a global troubleshooting bundle and include that when creating the case, that's a a great start of an investigation (as documented in "Contacting Support" - https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire_server/12.4.0/doc/html/TIB_sfire_server_tsas_admin_help/server/topics/contacting_support.html)
Solution Diana Banas Posted May 15, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted May 15, 2023 Thak you but I think I found the cause. While running under version 7 of Spotfire the scheduler would allow the end time to be before the start time. We had a few reports scheduled this way so they would be loaded 24 hours a day. In version 11 this is not an option. When you schedule a report the end time always has to be greater than the start time. We imported the existing schedules during the upgrade and the report that I was having trouble with was on one of these schedules. I modified the schedule so it was configured to have the end time after the start time and now it is using the cached version of the report instead of loading a new one. Fredrik Rosell
Excellent - thank you for sharing the issue/solution with the community! This sounds similar to an issue that was addressed a long time ago, e.g. for TIBCO Spotfire Server 11.4 in service pack 11.4.2 (see https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire_server/11.4.10/TIB_sfire_server_11.4.10_relnotes.pdf?id=0 - "TSS-29768 11.4.2 When creating or editing a saved schedule, it is not possible to set an end time that is earlier than the start time for a schedule.")so just to confirm if you encountered that or a different issue, what exact Spotfire Server version are you using? Diana Banas
We are currently running version 11.6.
Fredrik Rosell
Thank you, Diana! For Mainstream, the fix was released in the version after that - 11.7.0 (https://docs.tibco.com/pub/spotfire_server/11.7.0/TIB_sfire_server_11.7.0_relnotes.pdf?id=0 Closed issue TSS-29767)) - so your current version would be affected by that issue.
