Filippo Gronchi 3
I have a graphical table with calculated values, icons and sparklines. In few cases (mainly due to filtering) the calculated value does not exist and in the table I see "(empty)" that is not really appealing. Is there any way to hide or to leave the cell empty? Gaia Paolini
could you provide a sample dataset?
Solution Fredrik Rosell Posted October 25, 2022 Solution Share Posted October 25, 2022 Hello,To my awareness, there is no way to directly customize that (the ability to customize that sounds like a great idea - I did not find any existing one in the TIBCO Ideas portal - https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas - so please create one!).However, if applicable, you may be able to override this in the calculation (expression) by using the SN (Substitute Null) function which allows you to substitute null values. In the example below, I used "My Empty Value String" but that could e.g. have been an empty string.
Filippo Gronchi 3
Many thanks Fredrik. I used this workaround together with background color in order to hide the alternative text in case of NULL)
Filippo Gronchi 3
Sorry but it's going to be rather time consuming. SN method was fine in my case.
