Jim Putnam 2
I have a table visualization of rankings across the country up to 500 for Sales people. In a table, I want to filter by state, and report their overall rank among the 500. But I also would like a column of their rank in the state that was filtered. So each row of the table viz would have a dynamic row number based on the filter. Something like: State Rank Name Overall Rank 1 Jon 23 2 Olivia 50 3 Bort 88 I thought using RowId() in the table directly would work but it still returns its row number from the original table. Is there an in-viz formula to return a table row number like the bold field above
Kirsten Smith (she/her)
You can add a second column to the Rank() function that creates a ranking within that second column, so something like: Rank([sales],"asc",[state]) Would create a ranking on Sales within each State, so you would see the desired ranking numbers when you filtered on each State.
