Dmitry Surovtsev
Hi, I am an expert in TERR data functions but a total newbie in Python. I have a Python script that should accept a Spotfire data table, perform a specific task on it and return another data table. I couldn't find a way to see python console output in Spotfire that is nearly a must for debugging purposes. Is it currently available (Analyst 11.3) For the avoidance of doubt, this question is about native Python, i.e. the one that was introduced with Spotfire 10.7. Tejas Devadkar
There is no such output console just like while writing for IP scripts. (It behaves the same like TERR capability but with Python) . You can the write your values to a document properties to debug. Something like :https://ideas.tibco.com/ideas/TS-I-5723 You can log an enhancement on the ideas portal. Anders Gavare
This is not an ideal solution, but you can try turning on Tools -> Options -> Data functions -> Enable data function debugging. Things like print("hello") then turn up in the debug notifications (along with some input and output debugging).
