ruth abraham
Is there a way to store/export visualization properties and metadata such that identical reports can be created on different data sets in different analyst sessions The properties of my visualizations are rather complex and instead of saving a copy of the whole analysis as is, I would like to export these properties and reuse them in different data sets. Kirsten Smith (she/her)
The easiest way to handle this is to create a file that has all of the visualizaitons/controls/scripts/etc that you want, and save it as a "template". The next time you have new data that you want to use, open your template, replace the data set with your new data, then use File/Save As and give it a new name, preserving your template file with its settings. ruth abraham
Thank you Kristen. I suppose this would be saved as a new instance of the analysis, leading to multiple copies with different visualization properties. I am trying to store the metadata of a few graphs from an analysis and export those into other analyses that have their own visualizations. Is there a way to do that
Kirsten Smith (she/her)
There currently isn't a way to save that information outside of a DXP file. I would invite you to add this suggesiton to our Ideas Portal: https://ideas.tibco.com
