Spotfire - How to solve inconsistent date transformation

I receive a csv date set with all data fields identified as string.

Some of the columns are however DATE fields in the format dd/mm/yyyy.

When loading these data, I use the Change Data Type function to transform these text data to a DATE format.

The strange thing is that the transformation is inconsistent.

Dates that can be read in either way, such as 7/2/2020 are transformed into 2-July-2020,

while dates in the same column such as 15/8/2020 are transformed into 15-August-2020

How can we prevent this inconsistency and select the date format

Formatting doesn't help, since it only defines the presentation of the date, we cannot select either the US or Continental EU preference.
