jose mendez Posted August 30, 2016 Share Posted August 30, 2016 When i do a cast to date from a String DD/MM/YYYY spotfire change the order of the MM/DD/YYYY i used the function month(cast[string] as date) and spotfire change the order , when i was looking for appearetly is something related with the region. Sean Riley Posted August 31, 2016 Share Posted August 31, 2016 Yes, Spotfire always displays dates according to the CLIENT'slocal language and region settings. This can be tricky to handle sometimes. If you have to display a date in a specific format that is against the local region settings, you would have to force it to a string and manipulate it manually. There are some enhancement requests already in place for more control over the date formats, specifically allowing a single global format. Rashmi N Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 To solve this issue, use below to convert a string which is in "dd.MM.yyyy" format , ParseDate([Column],"dd.MM.yyyy") This will not take day as month and will give you the correct date value.
