Shelby Johnson
I have a map chart in which the lat/long data is in one table and the values I want to size and color by are in a different table. I have set the relations between the table to a common column. However the size and color options are sizing and coloring all the locations to the sum of the entire column of the related data table. Is there something I could be missing when relating these columns I've also tried different aggregations and it still returns the singular value for the entire data table. Thanks! Kirsten Smith (she/her)
It would be helpful to get a copy of your DXP with embedded data so that we can see how it is constructed to find a resolution for you.
Anders Gavare
Typically you would set up Column Matches in order to use aggregated values from another table (such as size). (Data Relations are instead used to propagate filtering and marking between tables.)
Shelby Johnson
Thanks, that's helpful! I don't have a column to match with in the table that's sourcing the map.
Kirsten Smith (she/her)
Spotfire needs some way to connect the map data table with the color/size data table so it knows what values to use.
