Prevent developers from saving file to desktop

Hi - Is there a way we can prevent a dashboard developer to save the DXP on their local desktop We need to prevent this for security reasons as the data may be downloaded along with the DXP.

OR

Is there a way to disable data embedding in such a way what when you download a file, no data gets downloaded

Hello,

 

You could use licenses to remove access to the File menu > Save As > File...option (the license isTIBCO Spotfire Enterprise Player > Save Spotfire Analysis file). You could then e.g. still have the separate Save to Library license enabled to only allow users to save to the Library. There is also the "Export Data" licensein the same location which "Allows a user to export or copy the data used in a visualization.".However, licenses are not really a security mechanism, but rather a way to manage functionality.

Depending on your use case, you could also explore other strategies such as working with in-database data, keeping the datain the database.
