vlad levinas
Hello, We have 2 VMs allocated for TIBCO Spotfire (ver. 10.10.2): 1 VM has TIBCO Spotfire Server and Node Manager installed; 1 VM has only the Node Manager installed. Both VMs have 8 core 3 GHz CPUs, 128 GB of RAM, a gigabit connection on the local network and more than enough disk space. We also have about 25 people using TIBCO Web Player. Most of them use reports loaded with Scheduling & Routing. There are about 30 such reports, the reports themselves vary in size from 10 MB to 14 GB. The report schedules have been distributed between the 2 Web Player nodes. The Node Managers RAM usage doesnt go above 64 GB and the TIBCO Servers RAM never goes above 10 GB. So even though it seems we have more than enough resources, many Web Player users often get the message Connection lost. Trying to reconnect... when browsing reports. The users and reports where this problem arises differ from day to day. The server.log shows a lot of Service temporary unavailable messages followed by spotfire.rs.RestExceptionHandler: Resolved during the same second. Weve already tried configuring 2 Web Player services on each node and distributing the reports between the 4 Web Players. It didnt seem the help much. Weve also tested the local network for connection stability problems. We didnt find any. Has anyone faced this problem before What could be causing users of the Web Player to lose connection on a regular basis Ive also attached a part of server.log with the Service temporary unavailable message.
