Latitude and Longitude not spotting on a map

I have a information link in Spotfire that has Surface Hole Latitude and Surface Hole Longitude. I want them to show up on the map when I select map chart. I have tried several projections and nothing is working. How do you determine what your CRS map projection is I get an error about my information link. The configuration of geographix location is incorrect. Configure marker position. What does this mean It brings up the Geocoding position and not sure how to correct it. My wells should show up in Texas, Oklahoma, and I am not seeing anything on my map and I have tried on the layer to change to NAD27, NAD 83 WGS84 and nothing is working please help I have several of this that are doing the same thing. I am using Spotfire Analyst 10.0
