On a scatterplot Created in Spotfire,

I would like the userto select 2 ranges on x axis as " ABC Range"and"XYZ Range"

from the 2 specified ranges i would like to have the maximum Y for each range.

Finally the corresponding (x, max Y) for each range has to be reported for each graph.

Is this possible to have this functionality in Spotfire

You can work with additional calculated columns.

The 1st calculated column would define your [ranges]. Use an IF or CASE statement to achive this.

The 2nd column has to calculate max([Y]) over [ranges]. Then you can for example highlight your data point with a lable when the condition [Y] =max([Y]) over [ranges] is met. Or store the max values into some document properties.

Please provide some sample data if you need further support.
