Linking postgreSQL database to DXP for Spotfire Cloud Web Clients

Hi.

I am using spotfire desktop with Analyst license to create a dashboard linked to a postgreSQL database, and the dashboard is hosted on the cloud library.

When trying to access my DB from the web client, I get the error 'Could not connect. Incorrect username or password', which is not very helpful.

 

In the following link, it says that this (postgreSQL)is a connection which should be supported by Spotfire Cloud web client users....

However, I find the wording pretty ambiguous in the first couple of paragraphs, saying that there are some sources which have limitations, however not providing any indication of which those are.

Is anyone familiar with this error, and what it might indicate (other than actually having the wrong username and password)

N.B. Data connection settings are 'New data when possible', and my data tables are loaded for 'in-memory analysis'
