how to test the spotfire report with 1000 rows from each table when tabls have millions of millions of records

when i load the spotfire 7.x report then it takes 3 hours to load because underlying tables have millions of millions records.

i would like to if i can filter the tables with 1000 rows from all tables and test the report then remove the filter and publish to the server for spotfire report. we are not using the information link etc.

Where is the data stored  How are you accessing the data

You could just create a view specifying selecting the top 1000 records at the database level, and the spotfire report could just querythat while testing. Then access the main table after testing
