Spotfire: Property Control filter reset all markings I have applied

I am using document property control 'Drop Down' to control filter based on a column. It will reset all of my markings on visulazations I have applied.

I didn't find the similar question so just post here, I have submitted a request to support team.

Change the way document properties are called in the 'Limit data by expression' field. Instead of '${SelectSector1}' use DocumentProperty("SelectSector1").

while you set up a Document property as action control, you also need limit data in property using custome expression.

There are two forms to represent Document property:

[Column] = '${property1}' --- this will eliminate your markings and return all filtered rows

[Column] = DocumentProperty("property1") --- this will keep your markings
