Upload a CSV through WebPlayer (Spotfire 10.3)

Hey,

We have a dashboard that is accessible through Web Player where the users need to makechangesto data in several tables.Sometimes they need to change many rows, so we would like to work with CSVs as follows:

1) User marks rows from table, then clicks 'download' button, which downloads a CSV to the user's workstation with the selected rows.

2) User modifiesthe data in the CSV file using Excel.

3) User uploads the CSV file from his workstation to the web dashboard

4) Updated data is written back to database using information links and ironpython.

 

We are struggling with step 3. How can we upload data through CSV file to a dashboard running in Well Player Did anyone work out how to do it with JavaScript

Are these users Business Authors or just consumers You will need to be a Business Author in order to get into the Editing mode and then from Data- Add you can add the data

I think you can work with a Data Function here. As Input you take the data table and you choose the option that only marked data should be included. Your output then only needs to be your input. So your script should be something like:
