  • Quick Tips on Asking Community Questions

Some quick tips for asking questions and maximising the likelihood of a rapid and correct answer.

Dear Spotfire Community User. Below are some quick tips for asking questions and maximizing the likelihood of a rapid and correct answer.

    • Keep it short, clear, and specific.
    • Avoid assuming prior knowledge.
    • Include reproducible examples:  datasets or Spotfire files.
    • Don't share sensitive information publicly.
    • Specify tools, versions, and environment.
    • Search before posting.
    • Provide feedback on the suggested answer.
    • Use separate questions for follow-ups.

Doing the above will make your question clearer and more likely to get a response. Remember this is a community site: busy people are volunteering their time. Make it count.
