TIBCO Cloud™ Spotfire®
In TIBCO Cloud Spotfire, you can connect to and access data from all data sources that the TIBCO Cloud version (latest) of Spotfire supports. Spotfire provides native support for a long list of data sources with specifically tailored data connectors - for the full list of connectors and supported data sources, see the system requirements for data connectors in the latest/cloud version of Spotfire.
In the web client, you can access data from a large number of the supported data sources. However, not all data sources are supported in the web client. For licensing reasons Spotfire can't install some drivers. See Supported data sources in the TIBCO Cloud Spotfire web client.
For more information about data access in TIBCO Cloud Spotfire, see Accessing data in databases.
TIBCO Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise
Supported data sources
In Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise you can connect to and access data from all data sources that your version of Spotfire supports. Spotfire provides native support for a long list of data sources with specifically tailored data connectors - for the full list of connectors and supported data sources, see the system requirements for data connectors.
You can also use Information Services to access data from more databases.
Connecting to data sources in the web client
To be able to access data from many supported data sources, a driver is required on the computer that is running Spotfire. For the Spotfire Analyst installed client, you must install the drivers on your computer before you can connect to those data sources with the corresponding connector.
On web clients in Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise environments, many drivers are pre-installed. That means that for those data sources, you can create a connection in your Spotfire Analyst installed client and open it to access your data in the web client, without having to provide a driver for the web client.

Install drivers for access to more data sources
To access data from the remaining supported data sources in the web client, you must provide the required drivers yourself. Contact your sales representative to discuss the possibility to add and install your driver in your Spotfire Cloud Enterprise environment.
Tip: For help finding the required drivers for other data sources, visit Drivers and data sources in TIBCO Spotfire.
Information Services
For data sources that Spotfire does not have native support for with a connector, see Information Services. For the list of included JDBC drivers and data source templates for Information Services, see this page. To use additional JDBC drivers, contact your TIBCO sales representative.
Accessing on-premises databases from TIBCO Spotfire Cloud Enterprise
To be able to access your on-premises databases from Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise, additional configurations might be required, such as setting up an IPsec tunnel between Spotfire Cloud and your organization's network. For more information, see Spotfire® Cloud Enterprise Frequently Asked Questions.
